Hampshire route diagram, Badeslade 1742, county map

The same basic set of roads appears on several county maps in the mid 18th century; however each map may show a few additions, alterations (which may be intentional or unintentional), and omissions. Examples on this map are:-
  • the addition of a road from Winchester through Fareham to Cosham
  • the alteration of the Land's End road to go through Grately, and the Weymouth road through Salisbury
  • the omission of the road from Southampton through Romsey to Salisbury
Notice that the routes here are not exactly the same as those found on Badeslade's general maps.
