House, dated 1694 and enlarged mid C18. Coursed squared rubble with quoins. Remains of C17 structure in east wall (quoins, plinth, and window surrounds) show it was half present depth. Graduated slate roof has stepped and corniced stone end chimneys; moulded wooden eaves. Front elevation 3 storeys, 3 bays (symmetrical); wet-dashed. Central part-glazed door has traceried segmental head in doorcase with Tuscan pilasters and dated coat of arms above. Single sash to each floor above door, tripartite sash to each floor at either end. Rear elevation of 4 bays has tripartite sash to left and single sash to right on each floor; steps up to part-glazed door with large sash stair window above; full height transomed window with stone surround to servants' stair. All windows have glazing bars. Internally the panelled doors, dado rails (some with Vitruvian scrolls), closed string servants' stair and cut string main stair (with its turned balusters, fluted rectangular newels and ramped handrail) survive. Of the C18 coriniced fireplaces remaining, that in the 1st floor front (east) room has bayleaf and rosette decoration; in the same room is a glazed corner cupboard with internal wooden ribbed semidome and shaped shelves. The area railings stand on a low wall in front of the house. A wrought-iron scrollwork panel separates groups of standards to either side of the large central double gate which has on ornate overthrow, openwork spearhead standards and scrollwork decoration. Probably mid C19.

Byre range, mid C18 with later additions. Squared, snecked rubble with quoins; lime-washed. Stone ridge to graduated slate roof. Single storey with loft access in north gable. West elevation has window in stone surround to left; straight joint separates north end (built at right-angles on plinth) from rest of building. 2 planked doors and 4 windows are arranged symmetrically (one window is inserted in blocked central wagon door). Corrugated iron barn to south is not included.

Barn range with attached animal houses, mid C18 with later additions. Coursed, squared rubble with quoins; lime-washed. Stone ridge to graduated slate roof with stone coping and kneeler to north end; on east side, stone flags to eaves and byre outshut to south end. 1 1/2 storeys. Right-hand jamb of planked door marks south end of original building which has one full height wagon door with segmental head to left and, to right, two lower wagon doors with segmental heads, hoodmoulds, and loft access above. South end of main building has 2 windows with blocked stone window surround between and loft access above; to right is planked door (mentioned above). An attached range of outbuildings is set back to the south under a single pitch roof. A lean-to pigsty is built on at the north end of the building.

Low wall to either side of central gate (C20, wooden) has rusticated stone pier with cornice at each end. Cast-iron railings to top of wall have lobed standards and urn finials. Probably mid C19 as present arrangement does not appear on 1840 tithe map (this shows an offset entrance).
