Farmhouse. Mid or late C17. Roughcast walls on irregular projecting plinth, under graduated greenslate roof with roughcast chimney sticks. 2 storeys, 7 bays. Left plank door in painted stone architrave under hoodmould; further C20 door to immediate right has similar C20 tile surround. 2-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows, the 4 bays to the left divided from the rest by small firewindows on both floors. Right wall of house has C20 windows. Rear has 2 contemporary gabled extensions with similar 2-light stone-mullioned windows and small chamfered-surround windows. Lorton parish registers record that Elizabeth Pearson, widow, was buried from Hopebeck on 14 July 1713. Barn adjoining farmhouse is not of interest.
