C17 or earlier. Roughcast over stone rubble, thick walls, old slate roof, large projecting chimney with offsets and round stack. Spinning gallery at rear with turned balusters. Large gable with 3 stringcourses, new windows to match old wood mullioned ones. South front has a gabled porch and 4 windows on ground floor and 5 above, with wood mullions and transoms and modern leaded lights. Heavy modern stringcourse. Interior has beams, panelling, Georgian round-arched alcove, a spice cupboard dated 1689, back door dated 1690 with original massive wooden lock, flagged floors, some grisaille glass dated 1565, plaster ornament, plank partitions and cloak pegs, and wood-pegged bedroom floors.
