boundary stone, Fawcett Forest/Whinfell -- Fawcett Forest and Whinfell -- Cumbria / -- Lying on the grass, out of position, -- NY55070343 (at) -- 23.4.2010

hearsay The stone couldn't be found, carefully looking on foot, 17 April 2010 (in response to a query from a user of the Lakes Guides website). The people at the nearest house said that there was an accident there about a year ago, a youngster going too fast must have hit the stone, and it disappeared. A couple of weeks ago the farmer noticed the broken stone lying in the grass some little farther north roughly at the roadsign for the bend.
