Parish Church, C14 with later additions and alterations; restored 1881. Random rubble. Graduated slate roof with stone ridge; gabled bellcote at west end, apex cross at east. Single storey, 4 bays. Gabled south porch has plank inner door with pointed head. Windows mainly C19 stone-mullioned replacements; original cusped 3-light east window was once pointed. Interior: Font at west end has octagonal C14 (?-Pevsner suggests mid C17) bowl on later stem; panel with low-relief carving (reminiscent of window tracery) to each face. Board on south wall, dated 1798, lists benefactors; rest of fittings are C19/C20, including glass by A. Sewell & Co. and Gibbs & Co., both of London.

The earlier mark of an earlier bellfounder is:-
either William Sellar, York or William Scott, Wigan, late 71th century. Also, cold cut into the bell:-
which is thought be be a transposition for 1827, about the date of the present fittings.
The old bell is 15 ins diameter, inscribed in jumbled letters:-
It is believed to have been acquired after a petition in 1445.
