| House, remodelled in early C19, possibly dating back to early C18. Coursed rubble walls, rendered. Graduated slate roof with stone end chimneys. 2-storey, 3-bay front elevation has central part-glazed door with single sash to either side; 1st floor windows as ground floor, with additional narrow sash. Door and windows in stone surrounds with drafted margins. Stair window to rear has interlaced, semicircular, head. Internally, C19 dog-leg stair has square balusters, carved tread ends and spiral curtail; segmental cross arches to hall and landing have deep panelled reveals, as do architraves to doors. Dairy with stone shelves survives. Barn/byre of various builds adjoins house at right angles. Coursed rubble with quoins under graduated slate roof of 2 builds. Door in north wall has blocked opening above; gable has been raised, probably in early/mid C19 when loft was added over byre. To front, 2 doors with chamfered jambs and lintels, right-hand one re-used, initialled and dated "I & V.M. 1675"; later loft doors with segmental heads above each to left. Large segmental-headed wagon door to left; extreme south end set back with C20 garage doors inserted. | ||
