| Farmhouse, now house, with attached stable or shippon. Probably early C18; altered in C19. Roughly coursed sandstone rubble with large irregular quoins, large irregular through-stones except at the front, and roofs of slate and stone slate. Single-depth 2-unit plan on east-west axis facing south, with rear wing to right-hand half; and projecting stable wing attached to west end. | ||
| EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and 2 windows, almost symmetrical (except for the wing). The ground floor has a square-headed doorway with moulded surround, now protected by a light C20 porch with 2 columns, flanked by tall 4-pane sashes. The 1st floor has shorter 4-pane sashes, and the outlines and lintels of some earlier windows; and the top floor has 2 very small 4-pane windows (in vertical alignment with 2 of the aforesaid lintels rather than the present windows). Stone gutter brackets. Gable chimneys with stone slate bands. The front wall of the stable wing to the left, full-height under a carried-down roof, has a wide doorway to the left with a rectangular lintel, a floating stone slate drip-band above and a similar but shorter drip-band on the same level to the right, and a 3-tiered pigeon cote near the top, with stone slate ledges; the longer west side wall, with through-stones, has steps up to a raised doorway, and a 1-light window above to the left. Rear: asymmetrically gabled wing has doorway flanked by 2-light windows on different levels of each floor (those to left higher), all with square-cut surrounds, and all except the upper to the right with flat-faced mullions; and its lower right-hand wall has corbelled chimney with cylindrical shaft. | ||
| INTERIOR: fine C18 fielded panelling with dado rails and moulded cornices, including partitions to entrance hall, and partition between chambers above which has fluted pilasters and incorporates built-in cupboards and drawers (very similar to Cage Farmhouse, Dent CP, qv); dog-legged staircase to attic level, with closed string, square newels, turned balusters and moulded handrail; 3 upper-cruck roof trusses, with very sharply elbowed principals to the front slope (c.f. Stone Hall, in Sedbergh CP, qv), pegged collars, and carpenter's marks numbered from west to east. Interior of stable or shippon has good original wooden boskins. Forms group with privy to east (qv), and with Badger Dub Cottage to south-west (qv). | ||

| Privy. Probably C18. Large roughly-coursed sandstone rubble, monopitched stone slate roof. Rectangular plan facing west. Built as bridge over fast-flowing beck. North side wall leaning at time of survey (October 1994). Forms group with Badger Dub (qv). | ||
