House formerly rectory. 1837. Quarry faced grey sandstone ashlar on squared plinth with raised quoins; slate roof projects over eaves. 2 storeys, 3 bays, with flanking 2-storey, single-bay wings. C20 door in quoined surround with keyed entablature. Flanking double sash windows with glazing bars in chamfered stone surrounds, hood moulds. Windows above are sashes with glazing bars. Wings have sash windows without hood moulds. End wall left has 2 C20 ground floor windows. Within the ditch of the Roman Fort of Banna, hence the name. Included partly for G.V. with the nearby church.
