House. Possibly C17 with extensive C19 alterations and extensions. Roughcast with slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 bays, the 1st 2 bays are former slaughter house. Windows are sashed; 6th bay has canted bay window, sashed with single bar. Entrance has half-glazed door and gabled porch with elliptical arch and pointed side lights with stained and etched glass. 1st 2 bays have small-paned fixed glazing. Gutter has snow stop with iron anthemions. 2 cross-axial stacks. Right return has 2-storey canted bay window; fixed glazing to ground floor, sashes to 1st floor. Rear has outshut. Property of the National Trust.
