| Row of 3 houses incorporating 2 shops. Early C19, altered. Scored stucco with graduated slate and composition tile roofs. 2 storeys and attic, 1:2:2 windows to 1st floor. No.47 on left: 6-pane door on right of plain sash, both have segmentally-arched surrounds; narrower sash to 1st floor; gabled roof dormer. No.49: part-glazed, 6-panel door on right of tripartite sash; plain sashes to 1st floor (all have segmental arches). Deep, 2x1-light bay window to ground floor on right has C20 casements in chamfered, stone surrounds and door in right return. 4-light roof dormer. No.51: side-passage door on left of late C19, projecting shop front having part-glazed door recessed between ornate cast-iron window surrounds: foot panels with pointed arcading; columns with composite capitals linked by pierced spandrel pieces; corniced blind box with iron cresting. 1st floor has plain casements whilst front roof slope is taken up by C20 full-width roof dormer. The row has ogee, cast-iron gutters; brick and rendered stacks to each end and on ridge at the party walls. | ||
