White-washed stone rubble, old slate roof, 2 low storeys. Centre modern door with small solid fanlight and gable/hood, and an inscribed round-topped datestone above "Reginald Shephard built this house in the year an don 1751". 2 new cross windows on each floor in older square openings. Rear wing has a wooden oriel and a deep rectangular bay window. White House, Robinson Place, New Hall Inn with attached buildings to south, Lowside and Fold Head, Fallbarrow Road, form an important village centre group with Parish Church of St Martin, Lake Road, and No1, Premises occupied by Hairdresser, Old Kirk Cafe, Old Curio Shop, Stags head Inn and Rose Cottage, Church Street.
