Farmhouse with attached barns, now house and store. Probably early to mid C18, enlarged and altered; recently remodelled. Roughly coursed sandstone rubble with some through-stones, painted white except for the barn at the south end which is slobbered; stone slate roof with blue slate in the upper half. Single-depth 1-unit plan on north-south axis facing west with a wide rear wing (probably an early addition) and the former barns attached at both ends.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and 2 windows, with the former barns continued at the same level to left and right. The house has a C20 rubble and part-glazed gabled porch to the left, two 2-light casements to the right, with plain surrounds painted black, 2 similar but more widely-spaced windows above, and a cut-down ridge chimney at the junction with the to right. The former barn to the left (now integrated with the house) has a small square window at ground floor and 3 rectangular windows above (probably inserted). The barn to the right has an asymmetrical segmental-headed doorway at the junction, with rubble voussoirs (probably a reduced wagon doorway), a square-headed doorway in the centre, and a small and a large oblong window to the right. At the rear the broad gable of the rear wing has a square 2-light mullioned stair-window to the left, a rectangular window to the right with altered glazing and a square 2-light casement above this (all these with stone slate drip-bands), and a gable chimney; and attached to the north side is a lean-to addition. The former barn to the north has a former wagon doorway with an inserted glazed screen.
INTERIOR: 2 roughly-finished beams; C19 plank partition at junction with barn to right; one C18 collar truss in house and a similar truss in each of the former barns; otherwise altered.
