| Farmhouse and barn. Dated and inscribed over entrance RS 1674 (Richard Simpson). Barn inscribed over loft doorway: "I DID MAKE THIS LABOUR IN THE YEARE 1677 RICHARD SIMPSON", with late C18 alterations. Partly rendered limestone rubble walls on square plinth, under graduated greenslate roof with stone chimney stack. 2 storeys, 3 bays with rear single-storey, single-bay extension (now without roof) and left right-angle 3-bay barn, forming overall T-shape. Off-centre gabled stone porch with internal stone seats and shelves. Internal plank in a C17 chamfered stone surround, the lintel reset in porch surround. 2- and 3-light windows with mullions removed and a right ground floor fire window (one in similar position on rear), ground floor continuous dripstones over windows. Barn has left segmental arched cart entrance. Central C17 chamfered surround doorways, loft doorway and slit vents. Right doorway and loft doorway are in a late C18 single-bay extension under common roof. Interior of house has inglenook with firebeam and C19 panelled door on C17 recessed spice cupboard.
