OUTBARN TO THE SOUTH EAST OF SPRING BANK FARMHOUSE / / SPRING BANK ROAD / GRANGE OVER SANDS / SOUTH LAKELAND / CUMBRIA / II / 460549 / SD3983978204

Bank barn. Probably early C19. Rubble (mostly limestone) with projecting through stones and with slate roof. Barn entrance, on north side, has segmental arch. Left-hand (east) gable wall has 3 shippon doorways with plain reveals. The right-hand gable wall has a small window opening. The rear wall has a door and a small window, both with plain reveals, and a threshing door above.
INTERIOR: shippon has timber stalls and a central feeding passage. The barn roof has 2 bolted king post trusses.
